CA Woman Sues J.C. Penny Over Mannequin's Attack

A woman is suing the J. C. Penny Co. following a clash with a legless store mannequin that allegedly left her with a cracked tooth, bleeding scalp and recurring shoulder pain. The lawsuit filed in Orange County Superior Court seeks unspecified damages. Diana Newton, 51, of Westminster in her lawsuit has claimed the incident happened nearly a year ago when she was shopping for a blouse in women's department at company's Westminster Mall store. The only one in her size was on the mannequin, and as a salesclerk was removing the garment, the dummy's arm eventually flew off hitting her head.

Superintendent Rizalino Roxas, in charge of police and intelligence operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in the Philippines said Monday all airline crews, particularly flight attendants, were exempted from the "no liquid, no gel" ban being enforced at the airport on all U. S. -bound passengers and U. S. carriers.

An elderly man in Portugal takes revenge on his landlord by blowing up his apartment, causing part of the five-floor Lisbon block to collapse and catch fire. Neighbors reported the 80-year-old man had threatened to pour petrol on his floor and set it alight after being evicted by his landlord.

Ex-Boxer Gets Life Term Over "Murder Punch"

A former boxing champion in Britain was slammed a life sentence on Friday after killing a man with a punch, at a party organized last October. The assailant, Garry Delaney, 35, will serve at least 11 years in prison after prosecutors found him guilty. Delaney's victim was 23-year-old Paul Price. According to court testimony Price was lifted off the ground by the punch and fatally hit is head on the ground when he fell.

Girl's Pajamas Catch Fire After Lightning Strikes

(AHN)-Seven-year-old Emily Holland narrowly escaped death when a powerful lightning bolt struck her bedroom, burning her pajamas as she lay in bed. The blast, described by witnesses as a fireball, burnt the arm and central stomach area of little girl's cotton pajamas, but Emily miraculously escaped with just a small scorch mark to her arm after the blast missed her head by inches, leaving a four-inch long burn mark through her bedsheet and mattress.
