Boaters Rescued By Pleasure Boat Crew After Spending 8 Days At Sea

Three Texas men were found alive and floating in the Gulf of Mexico after disappearing a week ago.

The men left Matagorda, Texas, which is about 90 miles southwest of Houston, in a 23-foot catamaran on Aug. 22 for a day of fishing. They were reported missing when they did not return later in the day.

Shark Jumps Into Florida Fisherman's Boat

Out for a day of spear fishing and lobster diving, Michael Powers and his friends received a surprise visit when a five and a half foot bull shark jumped into his 21 foot boat on Saturday.

The shark leapt out of the water and landed in the fishing boat, proceeding to flop around violently until eventually injuring itself.

She said: "I have so many weapons at home. It's not like I sit at home twirling knives, but I've always been into handling weapons. As a kid I liked ninja warriors, not dolls. I have some kukris. They are one-handed knives and a bit like machetes, very vicious instruments with a curved blade. They are used for hacking and I love them because they are so versatile. You can really get into the meat of an animal, slice cucumbers and kill zombies - all in one day."

California Teen Youngest To Sail Around The World Alone

A California teenager sailed back into his home port here Thursday to become the youngest person ever to sail around the globe.

Zac Sunderland, 17, returned 13 months and 28,000 miles after charting a course west into the Pacific on June 14, 2008. He was only 16 at the time.

Blind Sailors Race In Boston Harbor

Three teams of blind sailors raced one mile through Boston Harbor on Tuesday steering their boats by feeling the wind.

The four-man team composed of skipper Matthew Chao, Bruce Howell and two trained guides, all legally blind, won the race from the Charlestown Navy Yard to the Boston Harbor Hotel to become the first champion of the annual event organized by the Carroll Center for the Blind (CCB).
