Fishermen in the Philippines on Sunday threatened to launch a "fish strike" if the government of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo failed to stop the oil companies from raising and overpricing the prices of petroleum products in the country. "If fish strikes across the country are necessary to compel the Macapagal-Arroyo government and the oil mafia composed Petron, Shell and Caltex to stop, rollback and put an end to corporate practices of price manipulation and overpricing, then we will call our colleagues to go on a nationwide fish holiday," the fisherfolk alliance Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas said in a press statement.

Billions of jellyfish, which covered an area of about 10 square miles of ocean, attacked an offshore salmon pen in Northern Ireland on Wednesday killing all the fish. The Northern Salmon Co. Ltd. lost 100,000 salmon worth $2 million at two net pens located one mile off the coast of the Glens of Antrim, north of Belfast. The fish died from stings and stress.

We arrived in the town of Sta. Ana in Cagayan Valley, the northernmost tip town in the Philippines at 3 a. m. in the morning. The first thing we noticed was the eerie sound of the place, or better yet, the lack of any sound of life. There were no lamp post and all we saw was darkness. A number of fishermen in Giza reported that a crocodile assaulted their boats recently, mentioning that the animal is 16 feet or five meters in length. No human injuries were reported although eyewitnesses said that they saw the animal sneak back into the Nile at night, eating a dog that happened to be there along the way. Nile crocodiles are the largest African crocodilian. A normal sized male weighs up to 1,100 pounds or 500 kilos. The average pressure exerted by a male Nile crocodile bite is about 3,000 pounds per square inch.

A 38-year-old Chris Donald, a British mechanic by profession, claims that he likes to have sex with cars. He has had sex with more than 30 different car models, two boats and a jet ski in the last 20 years. "A nice car. . . is a feast for the senses. It's about smells, feelings and tastes.
