A Royal Air Force fighter jet on a routine flight has accidentally dropped a 14kg practice bomb on Scotland Monday. The RAF said it has no idea whether the device survived the fall and have yet to locate the bomb. Nevertheless, it is warning the public against touching it.

Police in Pottstown, Pennsylvania were shocked when a letter carrier in town notified them about finding cremated human remains inside a package. The package was found Tuesday wrapped haphazardly in a plastic bag without any mailing address or return address. After the police dog passed the package from any bomb scare, the officers opened it and found a box with a metal plate with the deceased person's name on it and the years "1957-2000. "

Mysterious chunks of ice fell out of the sky and onto Dubuque, Iowa on Thursday. One 50-pound chunk fell through a woman's roof, others ripped through trees. Authorities say that whether the ice dropped from a passing plane or formed naturally in the atmosphere that either situation was rare. That is good, because the falling ice chunks rattled residents.

A suspicious package at a post office next to the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum turned out to be a false alarm. The police called for the evacuation of the site for several hours after a postal worker noted a foul smelling package that no one came to claim. The package also did not have any postage or address.

Two Jackson men who were in a drug and alcohol treatment center have landed up in jail after plotting a scheme to use a bomb threat to make a profit from a lawsuit against police. Duane E. Haffner, 23, received a five-year sentence, and Leotis Sylvester Allen, 22, received a four-year prison term on charges of making a terrorist threat. Both men are from the southeast Missouri town of Jackson.
