Air Rage Incidents Spike Among Drunk British Fliers

Data from the United Kingdom's Civil Aviation Authority showed that air rage incidents among British passengers have tripled over the past five years. Pilots blamed the rise on plane delays which led bored and angry passengers to take up drinking as a way to pass the time, leading to inflight fights. From January to March, the CAA recorded 601 air rage incidents, up by 32 percent from 458 cases logged for the first quarter of 2007. For the same period in 2003, only 214 such incidents were on record.

Chinese Woman Writes Letters To Husband 14 Years After Death

A Chinese woman has reportedly continued to write letters addressed to her husband who passed away 14 years ago, in her attempt to keep his memory alive. Admitting that she was still suffering from her loss, 75-year old Wan Fengxia said that she still wrote letters, each one expressing her love for him, as well as the memories she had of him.

Woman Has Pencil Removed From Her Head After 55 Years

Margaret Wegner, 59, will no longer have to suffer the chronic headaches and nosebleeds she has been subject to since she was 4. Thanks to advances in medical technology, doctors were able to remove almost all of the 3. 1 inch long pencil that accidentally bored through Wegner's skin 55 years ago and eventually became lodged in her brain. In an interview with a local newspaper, Wegner described the bizarre incident that how she fell over while carrying the pencil in her hand and accidentally stabbed herself in the head.

Monkeys In German Zoo Go Wild When Clown Arrives To Entertain Them

No one wants a bored monkey who won't monkey around. So a German zoo hired a clown to clown around for the monkeys and cheer them up. Zoo bosses hired a local entertainer to fool around in front of the chimps, baboons, gorillas and orangutans in zoo cages because a veterinarian said that bored monkeys were more often sick or aggressive monkeys.

Painter Transforms Council House Into A Renaissance Haven

A 56-year-old painter from Brighton, East Sussex in England, has transformed his 1960s council house into a haven to masters of the Renaissance era. Robert Burns, used ordinary paints to reproduce works by 15th century Italian artists in almost every room of the house. Surprisingly, the painter undertook his last art lesson when he was still at his primary school, according to AP reports.
