Man Dubbed 'Senior Citizen Bandit' Pleads Guilty To 10 Robbery Counts

The "senior citizen bandit" has pleaded guilty to at least 10 counts of armed robbery. He also pleaded guilty to one firearms count after robbing banks in three Western states,. According to Assistant U. S. Attorney, Ivy Wang Charles Manrow, a 70-year-old robber from Pennsylvania, will be sentenced early next year after entering a plea on August 10. Manrow is linked to robberies in Southern California, Fresno, Utah and Arizona.

Charm School Teaches Men How To Pick Up Women

A three-day course called "Charm School Boot Camp" is offering lessons to men who have trouble picking up women. The weekend-long course is being offered in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London and Sydney and anybody willing to fork over the $1,600 fee is eligible to enroll. Charm School is run by a Michigan-based company called Charisma Arts. Men begin with lessons in attraction and are then taken on a field trip of sorts to a bar or club so instructors can assess how well they've assimilated the information. The next day, the instructors critique their students' performances and give them pointers on how they can improve. The men are then unleashed into the world again to see if they can get it right this time.

Accused Murderer Tries To Strangle His Lawyer In Court

A man accused of murder got so annoyed with his lawyer's performance that he tried to strangle him in front of the judge, Boston radio reports Wednesday. According to Reuters, Attorney Bruce Carroll who had earlier tried to withdraw from case but was denied by judge told WBZ Radio, that his client John Gomes "didn't like the rulings the judge was making. . . . "

Miami Tops Rude Drivers List

It may be known for gorgeous beaches and trendy nightclubs but now Miami has a new claim to fame. Miami drivers speed, tailgate and cut off other drivers so frequently that the city earned the title of worst road rage in a survey released Tuesday. AutoVantage is an automobile membership club offering travel services and roadside assistance. The club also listed Phoenix, New York, Los Angeles and Boston among the top five cities for rude driving.

Gay Fairy Tale Sparks Outrage

A fairy tale about gay marriage has sparked a civil rights debate in Massachusetts, after a teacher read the story to a classroom of seven year olds without warning parents first. A parents' rights group said it may sue the public school in the Lexington, where a teacher used the book King and King in a lesson about different types of weddings.
