More than 400 athletes, who were recipients of organ donations, will compete in Windsor, Ontario in the fourth Canadian Transplant Games. This was the first time that the biennial Transplant Games has been held in the in the province. Opening ceremonies were held at the Dieppe Park.

A 78-year-old legally blind man from northwest Iowa whose nickname is "The Hammer" bowled a perfect game in league play. Dale Davis pounded out 2 consecutive strikes for a 300 score Saturday evening, even though his vision is peripheral -- he can't see straight ahead. For the past decade, Davis has suffered from from macular degeneration, a chronic eye disease, which prevents him from seeing see out of his left eye and limiting peripheral vision in his right eye.

A 94-year-old woman not only defeated her age but also her handicap of poor vision when she bowled a score of 244. The stellar bowler was only able to bowl after catching a glimpse of the floor, which enables her to see where to line up with the lane. Esther Medley of Centralia is legally blind and is unable to see straight ahead but this has not stopped her ambition to bowl.

Prosecutors say a teenager will be charged with misdemeanor littering after the bra she hung on a car antenna flew off and led to a highway accident. Emily Davis, 17, of Bowling Green told investigators she took her bra off while her friend, also 17, was driving on Interstate 75. A vehicle following the car crashed and rolled several times after swerving to avoid the bra.
