Bittersweet irony strikes again. A bowler collapses and dies after bowling the third perfect game of his life. Ed Lorenz, 69, rolled a 300 game Wednesday in his first league game of the night at Airway Lanes. When he got up for his turn during the fifth frame of his second game, he grabbed his chest and keeled over, all efforts to revive him failed.

Attorney General Mike Cox announced on Tuesday that a former state Department employee Sandra May Wentworth pled guilty to 3 counts of embezzlement for embezzling more than $300,000 from the department of Veterans Affairs. In September 2005, Cox also charged Wentworth's husband and son on related tax fraud charges. Cox says, "Sandra Wentworth admitted to stealing more than $300,000 from the State of Michigan, money that taxpayers intended to pay for services for our veterans. "

Suresh Joachim broke the Guinness world record for the longest time spent watching TV, at 69 hours and 48 minutes. Joachim did his TV viewing in the lobby of WABC-TV as part of the "Guinness World Record Breaker Week" on the syndicated "Live With Regis and Kelly. "

A dog's carcass is to blame for a massive sewage back up in Provo, Utah authorities say. Authorities blamed the back-up on the dead dog stuffed down a sewer manhole and then opened a criminal investigation about the incident. They found the dog's owner from an identifying chip implanted in it. The owner says the dog has been missing.
