Each time a new Harry Potter book or movie is released, a 78-year-old man from Bradenton, Florida is inundated with interview request calls because he happens to share the same name with J.K. Rowling's fictional character.

The retired Defense Department employee from Zaleski, Ohio, doesn't seem to be a fan of the boy wizard, as he hasn't had time to read any of the J.K. Rowling books or see the five hit movies.

Potter, who often gets interview requests from the TV networks and autograph requests, says he has not been able to keep his phone off the hook since past few weeks. His wife Jan often jokes with the late night crank callers telling them he (Potter) is "busy, out flying."

AP quotes him as saying, "The kids want to know if I'm Harry Potter. I tell them I've been Harry Potter for darn near 80 years!" The real Harry Potter, who insists that he is not a celebrity, says he now has to buy a pair of Harry Potter glasses.
