A 22-year-old bride-to-be from the Philippines has gone missing along the Oregon coast since after waves swept her out to sea on Saturday before her Oregonian groom could propose marriage near Neskowin Beach.
Rough seas prevented the Coast Guard and Tillamook County Sheriff's office from conducting immediate rescue operation for Leafil Alforque until Monday but her body has yet to be found.
Alforque and her suitor, Scott Napper, 45, went to the beach as the groom was planning to propose marriage and give an engagement ring to the Filipina in Neskowin's Proposal Rock. As they were walking on the rock, a three-foot wave knocked them off sweeping Leafil away.
Before Napper could get to her about 30 feet away, she was gone.
Alforque and Napper met on the Internet in 2005. She went to Oregon on Dec. 6 to arrange their marriage when the tragedy struck.
