Peggy Mcalpine, a British pensioner has set the world record as the oldest person to paraglide from the top of a 760-meter peak in the Five Finger mountains in northern Cyprus. She did it not just for fun, but to mark and celebrate the fond memories of her 100th birthday.

"I had a wonderful time and I would love to do it again, but I will give it a few years and let someone else have a go at beating the record," Mcalpine was quoted as saying right after she leaped from the mountain range.

At 70, she also bungee-jumped from a scaffolding.

"If no-one else wants to go, I'll do it again when I am 105," she said with great delight to the amazement of her well wishers.
