A 30-year old British man who used to work as a supermarket shelf-stacker in Liverpool has become a singing sensation in Macau after learning Cantonese.
Singing Canto-pop, Barry Cox, 30, became popular in the famous gambling haven In Asia using the name Gok Pak-wing.
Cox claimed he started learning Chinese at a shop from the Chinese owner's nephew in exchange for some English lessons.
''When you go back, you see all of your friends doing exactly the same as 10 years ago," Cox said. "I have got out of the rut. I do things and have done things that most people could only dream of doing."
