A British woman was ordered by local officials to put clothes on the naked lawn gnomes that have graced her front garden for about 15 years.
After a neighbor complained about her garden ornaments to the Bromsgrove District Council, Sandra Smith, 64, was forced to dress her three gnomes, one male and two female, the UPI reported.
"They have been here for around 15 years and everyone who visits me finds them funny and a bit harmless fun," the grandmother Smith told England's The Daily Telegraph. "They're proper cheeky chappies with their little smiley faces looking up at you."
The complaining neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous, found the gnomes "pathetic."
"They are childish and I think it is pathetic that they are in a front garden in full view of everyone," she told the Telegraph.
But Smith maintains the gnomes will remain a feature of her front garden.
"I'm going to be keeping the gnomes in the garden with their T-shirts on at the moment but I love like to get the gnomes out in their glory again."
