Two spectators were killed when a model airplane crashed into crowd during an air show in Ocseny, about 150 kilometers south of Budapest. The model airplane that crashed had two-meter wing span and was being directed from the ground by an experienced German operator.

In an unusual getaway promotion a Hungarian travel agency is trying to cash in on flooding in Budapest by offering "disaster holidays. "Travel agency Popeye has begun advertising and soliciting tours of the region's flood sites. Popeye is also offering guided tours to take travelers around Budapest's "disaster zones. "

Former Microsoft software developer Charles Simonyi is set to become a space tourist for a visit to the International Space Station (ISS), the orbital tourism firm Space Adventures reported. Simonyi, 58, will ride a Russian-built Soyuz spacecraft to the ISS where he will stay in fairly low star accommodation for a week.

The mayor of a certain Budapest district has ordered to have all female staff working in his city hall to have "perfect legs" and wear skirts no shorter than one inch above the knee. Gabor Mitynan, a well known conservative, also wants his staff to wear blazers during the summer because he thinks that most look like the are dressed like beggars or vacationers when they come into the office. He is also imposing a ban on tank tops for women, saying that most don't have fit enough bodies to pull off the look.
