A man acquitted of assault after being accused of poisoning an assistant prosecutor, a bailiff, and a police officer by shaking their hands. John Curtis Ridgeway, 42, was found guilty in December for driving uninsured. After court he insisted on shaking the hands of Assistant Prosecutor Amanda Swanson, the police officer who pulled him over and the bailiff.

In the rural Alaskan town of King Cove, officials have listed an old school in the area for sale on eBay. They hope to fetch a $1. 8 million price. Officials tell Reuters that the Aleutians East Borough placed the school in the southwestern Alaska coastal village of 725 people up for sale to make the possible new owner take the benefit of the 43,000-square-foot building's location on the waterfront in the midst of Alaska's biggest commercial seafood harvests

Egyptian authorities are ready to explore what researchers believe is an ancient Roman city, submerged under the Mediterranean. According to Egypt's top archaeologist, Zahi Hawass, a team of archaeologists have found buildings, bathrooms, and a fortress that they believe to be a Roman city, 20 miles east of the Suez Canal.
