For her four years of burglarizing the Windsor Castle, Mime has been aptly penalized or rewarded in her case, as she was finally accorded a royal treatment at the royal palace.
Mime, a ten-year old cat who lives in a Chinese restaurant nearby, is a regular visitor at the royal palace, dining with other members of the royalties - the Queen's dogs.
So familiar Mime is with the royal guards that she is now accorded a VIP treatment of her own.
In fact, one time during the Queen's birthday when her normal route was blocked by a locked gate, security staff were called into open the gates and let her through.
However, her owner, Kevin Lam has to handle his own misgivings with his cat as Mime is often recognized as one of the Queen's cats.
"When people come to my restaurant after visiting the castle they ask me why the Queen's cat is in the restaurant. I keep having to tell them that she is actually my cat!" said Lam.
