It was an easy job for police to catch a 22-year-old alleged thief suspected of burglarizing several vehicles, when he left his wallet as an evidence at the scene of one of the break-ins.
The wallet contained the identification and parole card belonging to Christopher D. Hasty. Police arrested him after apartment complex residents said they saw him flee a car in the parking lot. There are reports that several cars were burglarized in the lot where officers found the wallet.
According to reports, Hasty was found by police inside a nearby apartment, following a trail of footprints that led from the door to woods where some of the items stolen from the cars were kept.
The man now stands charged with counts of auto burglary and theft.
