A Brazilian woman got her new haircut from none other than a thief who also stole her mobile phone and handbag while she was riding on a bus. Mirna Marchetti complained she had dark, straight hair which reached down to her waist but now it is really short. The 22-year-old Brazilian woman suspects someone really "stole" her hair to sell it to a to a salon. Rio salons can charge more than 500 reais ($320) for top-quality hair extensions.

The son of the 1950s rock 'n' roll star "The Big Bopper" has hired an forensic anthropologist to dig his father out of the grave to determine exactly how he died in the 1959 plane crash that also killed Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly. Jay Richardson said he's having his father exhumed to determine whether there is any truth to rumors that a gun might have been on the plane, and to see if he may have survived the impact of the crash and died while trying to find help.

A driver threw a 5-foot-11-inch former model off a bus because it was so crowed she would have to stand and her height would block his view of the mirror. Josephine Kime, 23, a TV production worker who lives in Chelsea, said was boarding the No. 9 bus to Kensington High Street in London when the driver told her to get off.

It was a pleasant surprise for Spokane Transit Authority passengers on several routes Thursday, when an unknown woman boarded several buses, greeted passengers with "Merry Christmas" and handed each an envelope containing a card and a $50 bill before stepping off and repeating the same on another bus. According to the Spokesman-Review newspaper's Friday edition, bus driver Max Clemons said, "She kind of kept her head down. I don't remember ever seeing this lady before. "

A cat named Athena traveled all the way to her owner's arm three weeks after she was mistakenly left by her owner at a wrong bus stand. Ali Streimer dozed off while riding the bus on Thanksgiving weekend from Pikesville, the Baltimore suburb where her parents live, back to New York, where she lives. Her cat Athena however freed herself from her carrying case and began strolling through the bus.
