Around 20 riot police were summoned to help pacify angry tourists in Macau, China who claimed they were being forced into shopping by being led to shops instead of being shown the country's cultural heritage. The tourists complained their guides were pressuring them to buy foods and other goodies instead of showing them more of the former Portuguese colony's historic sites.

A 77-year old pensioner was almost banned from a social club after several members complained he was farting too much with utter disregard to his colleagues. Maurice Fox, admitted he had a problem with breaking wind too often but was quick to add he was "much better" after switching from cider to bitter

An Egyptian woman was run over by a minibus allegedly by order of a police officer on Monday. According to local reports, Reda Bakr, 21, was attempting to stop police from arresting her brother's wife. Bakr stood in front of the bus as it attempted to find the other woman, who was to be arrested for buying a stolen gas tank.

According to police reports, a local Jacksonville, Florida mother used a gun to protect her son from bullies at a school bus stop Friday. Forty-year-old Johnna Briggs aimed her gun at a couple of students exiting the bus and asked, "Does anyone have something to say?"

In an attempt to win a contest jackpot, a Polish bus driver sent nearly 38,000 text messages on his company cell phone, costing the firm about $34,000. It did not come as a surprise when Leszek Wojcik, a bus driver in the northwestern Polish city of Slupsk, was fired from his job after he lost the 100,000-zloty ($36,000) SMS contest that ended June 30.
