Stephen Murmer is a popular art teacher, with an unusual second job. Using an alias and disguises, Murmer is an artist that creates floral and abstract art with his butt and genitals.

Paintings that can command a few hundred dollars per piece, have done little to quell the angst and disapproval of Murmer's school board officials.

AP notes that Murmer is now on administrative leave from his job at Monacan High School.

Chesterfield County schools spokeswoman Debra Marlow said, "In the school system, personnel regulations state that teachers are expected to set an example for students through their personal conduct."

Marlow also notes, "The Supreme Court has stated that schools must teach by example and that teachers, like parents, are role models."

Murmer is fighting the controversy and calls the school board's reaction a violation of his constitutional rights.
