Health Canada is reportedly planning a pilot program to sell medical marijuana in select pharmacies as of next year. The move makes Canada the second country in the world, after the Netherlands, to sell pot in drugstores.

According to The Associated Press, there are more than 900 people in Canada authorized to use marijuana for medical conditions.

Robin O'Brien, a Vancouver pharmacist, is serving as a consultant to Health Canada, says informed pharmacists are important because reliable information about marijuana as medicine is difficult for patients to find.
