Two self-proclaimed Jedi Knights have petitioned the United Nations to officially recognize their faith as a religion. John Wilkinson and Charlotte Law, who calls themselves Umada and Yunyun based on their Jedi "religion," have told the U. N. that the Jedi is worthy of being called a religion.

Police have recovered about 79 garden gnomes that were stolen. The gnomes were found along the banks of a stream in the central Limousin region with a sign that said "gnome mistreated, gnome liberated. " Last month, 86 gnomes were found in the yard of a high school. Others were discovered on the outskirts of the city.

A young woman from Vernon, British Columbia, on Wednesday delivered rare twin girls conjoined at the head. The British Columbia Women's Hospital in Vancouver where the babies were born said both the girls as well as their mother are doing fine. A team of 16 doctors and nurses on Wednesday, successfully performed a delicate cesarean operation on Felicia Simms, the 21-year-old mother of the twins who were "wiggly, vigorous and very vocal," according to a hospital spokesperson.

An Air Canada passenger has been handed out a $1,350 bill as compensation for delaying a flight he boarded on March 15. The Toronto-bound flight in London was delayed by 27 minutes after passenger, Gus Fuentes, landed into an argument with a flight attendant. Fuentes was escorted out off the plane and had to find another way home. But that was not the end of it. Fuentes later filed a complained with the Canadian Transportation Agency, which in a ruling last week dismissed his complaint and upheld Air Canada's conduct.

What may be the longest baseball game ever occurred last weekend in Alliance, NE, beginning at 10 a. m. Saturday and ending on Sunday at 4:05 p. m. The current Guinness World Record, set in Canada three years ago, is 25 hours and the Alliance game's organizers are hoping their 30-hour-five-minute game will take its place in the book. The game consisted of 40 players, aged 18 to 44, and lasted 84 innings. The ending score was 120 to 114, with the Herald Dragons beating the WESTCO Knights.
