One Canadian city is sick of public displays of rudeness so officials decided to ban it.

An ordinance passed Monday in Calgary, Alberta bans behavior such as, public fighting, spitting, defecation and urination, loitering and putting your feet up on public benches.

To ensure people follow the new rules, a fine as been set for violators. City officials said they were seeing too much disgusting behavior in the city.

But some say the ordinance was put in place to target the homeless.

Laurie Fuhr of the Calgary Housing Action Initiative said, "There's parts of the bylaw ... that are really discriminatory to a certain group. It effectively makes it illegal to panhandle or even to huddle or sleep outside."
