A Canadian man trades a small role in a Hollywood movie for a house in Kipling, Saskatchewan.

Kyle MacDonald, 26, has upped the ante on his trades since offering a red paper clip online for "bigger or better" things.

He got a fish pen for the paper clip and eventually won an afternoon with heavy metal singer Alice Cooper.

In his 14th trade, he won a Hollywood movie role in "Donna on Demand" starring Corbin Bernsen.

The mayor of Kipling gave MacDonald the house on Wednesday in exchange for the role. The bit part will go to the winner of a contest to be held in September.

Mayor Pat Jackson tells Reuters by phone, "We're getting some very positive attention, and that never hurts any community."

Kyle says that all along, his goal was to win a house. He has received housewarming gifts of flowers and wine from local businesses.

A 12-foot red paper clip has been built in the front yard. The town even plans to build "the world's largest red paper clip."
