A makeshift mannequin that was unsuccessful in fooling cops watching the carpool lane sells for $15,000 on eBay. The buyer has announced the proceeds will go to charity.
Video Professor bought the Styrofoam head, coat hanger, and clothing stuffed with newspapers from Greg Pringle, 53.
Brian Olson, a spokesman for the computer tutoring company, says they will take "Tillie" to various events and later auction her off for charity in June.
Pringle was pulled over and cited for driving in the minimum two-person carpool lane with a dummy posing as a passenger.
As a result of his shenanigans, Pringle was fined $115 and ordered to hold a sign on the side of the highway for four hours that read, "HOV lane not for dummies."
