San Francisco's Head Hell's Angel's Shot, Killed In Fight

A man killed in San Francisco's Outer Mission neighborhood earlier this week has been identified by the medical examiner as the president of the San Francisco branch of the Hells Angels motorcycle club, authorities said. San Fransisco Police Department investigators say that Mark "Papa" Guardado, 46, was the person found shot at about 10:30 p. m. Tuesday outside a bar in the city's Mission District about a mile from the group's club house in the Dogpatch neighborhood. Guardado died a short time later at a local hospital.

Australian Robbie Maddison broke Monday night the world record for the longest motorcycle jump at an exhibition at the Rio All-Suite Casino and Hotel. Maddison leapt 322 feet, 7˝ inches (98. 34 meters), easily breaking the Guinness World Records of 277 feet and 6 inches (84. 58 meters) set by Trigger Gumm in 2005 in Australia. It also beat Ryan Capes's non-certified mark of 310 feet and 4 inches (94. 59 meters). Capes, a native of Kent, Washington, set the unofficial record also in 2005.

Egypt Seeks Royalties For Exact Copies Of Pyramids

Egypt's parliament is set to pass a law that requires payment of royalties for exact replicas of its ancient pyramids in every country. The proposed law announced by Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) on Tuesday also prohibits the duplication of the Egyptian monuments, including the Sphinx. Drawings and other reproductions of pharaonic and Egyptian monuments from all eras are exempted from the law if they are not exact copies.
