In what may be the strangest case of political fervor and artistic expression, an Australian painter is becoming a local celebrity for using his penis as a brush to paint a portrait of the Prime Minister. The Sidney Morning Herald reports, Tim Patch also used his member to do a portrait of opposition leader Kim Beazley.

Wonder kid Budhia Singh on Tuesday entered the Limca Book of Records by covering a 65 km distance from Puri to Bhubaneswar in seven hours. The four-year old is supposedly the first person to cover such a distance at this young age. Hoards of mediapersons reportedly accompanied Budhia in his marathon run. After arriving in Bhubaneswar, he was taken to the local hospital for a thorough medical check-up.

Sri Lanka's celebrity elephant, Raja, has fallen ill after eating too many sweets and chocolates given to him as gifts in part of the Buddhist new year celebrations. Thousands of Sri Lankans have paid a visit to Raja, 45, ahead of the new year celebration on Thursday, offering homemade cookies deep fried in coconut oil, chocolates, rice cooked in thick milk and fermented slices of sweet pineapple.

Instead of hitting the beach for Spring Break, a college student spent his time off at an Iowa Wal-Mart , becoming a celebrity of sorts. Skyler Bartels spent 41 hours earlier this month wandering the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Windsor Heights to test the retail giant's advertising of being able to get anything day or night.

Whose name is it anyway? Wayne Coulter is called Drew so many times he's giving up on using his real first name. Coulter is a dead ringer for comic Drew Carey. So, now he's using Drew, too. He says he never liked the name Wayne, anyway. "Drew'' Coulter is a celebrity of sorts at the local Applebee's, where he works as a waiter in Flint, Michigan.
