Overspeeding drivers who pass through Holly Spring in Georgia would be issued not only a speeding ticket, but also a $12 fuel surcharge. The extra fee was approved by the city council to cover the extra fuel cost used in chasing overspeeding drivers, said Holly Springs Police Chief Ken Ball. The fuel surcharge takes effect July 1 to augment the department's budget which had been eaten up by escalating fuel prices.

A 21-year-old prankster suffered deep cuts in his bare buttocks after pressing them against a restaurant window, breaking the glass. According to local authorities, the man, along with two other friends, decided to run around the area with their pants down and their bottoms exposed.

An allegedly deranged man was arrested by authorities after he removed the eye of a three-year-old girl he reportedly mistook for a frog in Taguig, near the Philippine capital of Manila. Police said the suspect, Rolly Semira, suddenly grabbed the victim who was buying some refreshments from a store and gouged her left eye.

The FBI arrested charged a teenager flight attendant on Thursday for setting fire in the bathroom of a Northwest/Compass flight, leading to an emergency landing. Eder H. Rojas, 19 was angry at having work at a particular route. He set fire inside a paper towel compartment in the rear bathroom of the plane. He was carrying a lighter with him which he managed to smuggle past security. It is this same lighter that he used to set fire to the extra paper tissues he had secured before boarding.

An 18-year-old boy who reportedly snuck into the bedroom of his 15-year old girlfriend for a romantic rendezvous, but ran into her father instead, was charged with burglary and assault on Monday. Jesse Laboiteaux, 18, arrived in court to answer the charges still brandishing the two black-eyes from the incident.
