FBI Charges Flight Attendant With Setting Paper Towels On Fire Intentionally

The FBI arrested charged a teenager flight attendant on Thursday for setting fire in the bathroom of a Northwest/Compass flight, leading to an emergency landing. Eder H. Rojas, 19 was angry at having work at a particular route. He set fire inside a paper towel compartment in the rear bathroom of the plane. He was carrying a lighter with him which he managed to smuggle past security. It is this same lighter that he used to set fire to the extra paper tissues he had secured before boarding.

Teen Sneaks Into Girlfriend's Room, Runs Into Girl's Father

An 18-year-old boy who reportedly snuck into the bedroom of his 15-year old girlfriend for a romantic rendezvous, but ran into her father instead, was charged with burglary and assault on Monday. Jesse Laboiteaux, 18, arrived in court to answer the charges still brandishing the two black-eyes from the incident.

Texas Police Arrest Man For Trying To Cash $360 Billion Check

A 21-year-old man from Crowley, Texas has been arrested for trying to cash a $360 billion check at a bank here and is facing forgery charges. Charles Ray Fuller was arrested on April 22 when the bank called the police after verifying from the owner of the personal account that she did not write the check.

Philippine Lawyer Files Swindling Charges Against Pope, Archbishop

A Philippine lawyer filed a complaint before the Manila prosecutor's office on Tuesday accusing Pope Benedict XVI and an archbishop of swindling, teaching immoral doctrines and public disorder. According to lawyer Elly Lao Pamatong, as quoted on GMANews. tv, the Pope "has been defrauding billions of innocent members of the human race by telling mythical and deceitful stories" that "have proximately caused the herein complainant and billions of other victims to turn over one-tenth of their incomes" to the Pope, Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales "and their accomplices. "

Florida Lottery Winner Dies Broke

A former lottery winner who was facing tax fraud charges died broke early this month, reports said on Thursday. Alex Toth, who won the a $13 million jackpot nearly two decades ago, died early this month, his attorney Bjorn Brunvand is quoted by in a report by the Suncoast News. He was scheduled to stand trial in June for filing fake tax forms together with his wife, Rhoda.
