A 21-year-old man from Hobart, Indiana was arrested Monday after he tried to cash a check for $50,000, which was signed "King Savior, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Servant. " Chase Bank called the police after they saw Kevin Russell wanted to cash the check which was written on an invalid Bank One check with no imprint. Hobart police Detective Jeff White said that Russell was charged with one count attempted check fraud and one count intimidation, which are both felonies. Additionally he also faces one count resisting law enforcement, a misdemeanor and is likely to face prison time.

The owner of a coffee stand in the parking lot of an auto repair shop in Washington is determined to find the thief who recently robbed his store at gunpoint. Troy Malchow is offering one year of free coffee to anyone who can help the police catch the gunman. According to Malchow, his store Perfetto Espresso was robbed last Wednesday, when a man "walking down the sidewalk. . . walks right in and pulls a gun out and said 'stay calm and give me the money,'" he told Komotv. com.

A giant eagle owl is reported to be terrorizing residents in Middlesborough, England. With its 5-ft wingspan, the bird can easily pick up foxes, small dogs and deer. Reports said the owl set up its home on the roof of the town's train station near the town center, in September. However, the bird suddenly become unruly since December launching itself off high roofs and swooping on passersby.

Thieves in New Jersey adopted a new way of breaking into a convenient store by running their car through the front window early Thursday. Duing their crash and grab they reportedly stole an ATM machine and cigarettes. According to the Star-Ledger of Newark, one suspect was arrested a short time later when the car flipped over during the police chase.

A British mother might have entered her name in the medical history by giving birth to triplets from two wombs. Hannah Kersey, 23, from Northam in Devon, gave birth to identical twins Ruby and Tilly, and singleton Gracie - by Caesarean section in September. "This is so rare you cannot put odds on it," said Ellis Downes, consultant obstetrician at Chase Farm Hospital in London. "I have never heard of this happening anywhere ever before - it is quite amazing. "
