They failed to plan, however, the amount of fuel their car would need to make a perfect escape. A 27-year-old Romanian thief was arrested shortly after his getaway car ran out of fuel after just half a mile into their escape route.

Police and animal control officers chased a wayward 600-pound bull through the streets of Newark, New Jersey early Friday morning for over 10 hours. It took animal control officer Denton Infield, who had previously been a cowboy in South Africa to finally corral the animal so it could be tranquilized and captured.

Fearing their students would get hurt and hold the school liable, officials at an elementary school south of Boston have banned kids from playing tag, touch football and any other unsupervised chase games during recess. Willett Elementary School Principal Gaylene Heppe approved the ban and told the AP recess sports could prove to be lawsuits waiting to happen.

A Nigerian man suspected in the murder of his brother told the police that his attack was actually aimed at a goat. The man says the supposed goat, which he attacked with an ax, magically turned into his sibling's corpse, authorities said.

A man who was involved in a car chase from police actually stopped and helped a trooper who was chasing him after the trooper crashed his car. The Montana State Highway Patrol officer crashed his patrol car while trying to stop the man. He was nearing the end of his shift when the man passed him going the opposite direction on Interstate 15 at more than 95 miles per hour.
