A 42-year-old Briton has hanged himself in front of a webcam watched by many users in an internet chatroom. The man identified as Kevin Whitrick, a father of two children. He had separated from his wife Paula, who lives nearby with their children. According to media reports, one online chatter, in light mood, urged him: "Go on, jump! I'm waiting. Look at him wriggling, he can't even kill himself properly!"

With only a few days left to go, heavily pregnant women in Germany are going to extreme measures to prevent giving birth before New Year's Day. If the women can postpone delivering the baby until 2007, they will qualify for a new government aid program which would give almost $2,500 a month in handouts. Many pregnant women are going as far as standing on their heads to delay the births. Reports say the future parents are swapping odd tips on how to postpone their labor in both parenting classes and online chat rooms.

Hundreds of pop-ups appeared in chat rooms revealing angry woman everywhere in response to an article published in the opinion section of Forbes Magazine. The message: "Don't Marry a Career Woman. "Michael Noer's article appeared in the August 22 edition of the magazine. After conjuring some heated responses Forbes pulled the article from the web site and then reposted it with a counterpoint from writer Elizabeth Corcoran titled, "Don't Marry A Lazy Man. "
