A childhood letter written by Britain's Queen Elizabeth is going under the hammer next month.
The letter was written by Her Majesty to a sick relative when she was just 12-years-old and is expected to fetch up to $785 at an auction.
The letter, to her second cousin Lady Mary Cambridge, reads, "Dear Mary, I am so sorry that you have had to go to bed and were not able to go to the party, I hope you were not too disappointed. When you are quite better you must try to come back. It will be such fun riding together."
In the letter - postmarked Sandringham, January 7, 1938 - the queen talks about going for a ride on her horse, George.
She writes, "George said 'enough of this' and nearly tossed me off. Get better soon and come for some more rides and tosses! With love from Lilibet."
The correspondence will be sold by London auction house Spink - a specialist auctioneer of coins, stamps, medals and banknotes - on March 8.
