The entire country of China has been left in outrage after viewing a video on the Internet of a woman stomping a kitten to death, according to Chinese state media.

Wang Jue, a nurse from northeast China's Heilongjiang province, said she was persuaded into performing for the bizarre video after she had suffered a divorce.

The short video was later posted on the Internet and could be downloaded for free, the Shanghai Daily reported. It was meant as an advertisement for a Web site selling videos of "small animals being stomped to death by provocative women".

Wang has since apologized to infuriated animal lovers. She was also fired from her job.
