The blushing bride was 81. The groom? 106. A 106-year-old man married is 81-year-old sweetheart in a city in southeastern China. Pan Xiting met his now-wife, Chen Adi, eight years ago. Adi had been taking care of Xiting. Their respective spouses died years ago. The couple almost weren't allowed to get married because Adi did not have her residence card. But officials allowed the ceremony after hearing the couple's story.

A Chinese teenager, who said he wanted to test his quickness in dodging a rushing train while sitting on railway tracks, failed in his stunt on Friday. The incident happened at a railway in Fengxian District in Shanghai, China. The alert train driver stepped on the brakes and managed to stop before the locomotive could hit the fearless teen, according to the Shanghai Daily.

A Chinese businessman in Qingdao, Shandong Province has been barraged with incessant calls from strangers to his purchased telephone number, 66-666-6666, a number which in Chinese culture should bring good fortune. China Daily report said that a man, surnamed Lui, purchased the phone number from one of his friends last year.

Traditionally the number 6 is lucky for some in China, but not for one Chinese businessman who was almost driven mad after purchasing a phone number he believed it would bring him luck. According to reports the man, named Lui, paid a total amount of 10,00 yuan ($1,300) for the phone number 66-666-666 which he purchased from one of his friends last year .
