Britain's Duchess of Cornwall has been blamed for "cursing" a luxury cruise liner. Cunard's Ł300 million MS Queen Victoria - which was officially launched by Camilla in Southampton three weeks ago when she failed to successfully smash the champagne bottle on its side - has been struck by a potentially fatal stomach bug.

A farm in Devon, England has prepared the largest Christmas dinner - a roast turkey stuffed with 11 smaller birds, enough to feed 125 people at a cost of $1,336. Dubbed as the True Love Roast, the turkey contains a goose filled with a chicken, then a pheasant and small ducks.

A television advertisement for a chain of electrical stores denying the existence of Father Frost, Russia's version of Santa Claus, has been banned by the Russian government. According to the BBC, the Federal anti-Monopoly Service found the advertisement for Eto electrical stores had broken rules for advertisers not to discredit parents and teachers when it declared that Father Frost was non-existent.

The woes of an Australian man who was trapped for 10 hours inside the chimney of a pub appear to be far from over after the police officers said they were planning to question him on the reason why he got stuck there in the first place. The cops said it was rather odd for the man to be making a Christmas delivery as it was already late, prompting them to theorize he may have been a novice burglar who got stuck in the chimney he tried to use as an entry point.
