An MP3 player bought from a Wal-Mart store in Tennessee has shocked a 10-year-old girl, who saw pornographic videos and heard songs about using drugs from the device when she played it. The girl's father, Daryl Hill, who bought three of the players as Christmas presents for his children, has complained with the store in Sparta. His daughter cried upon seeing the obscene videos and the father is at a loss on how to erase the explicit images from her young mind.

Waitress Melina Salazar got a windfall just before Christmas and from a most unexpected benefactor. Salazar, a waitress at Luby's cafeteria in Brownsville, was amazed when she received $50,000 and a 2000 Buick from her one of her most loyal customers. The posthumous tip came from 89-year-old Walter "Buck" Swords, who passed away in July.

Investigations concluded that the fire was started by Tater Tots left frying on the stovetop. The potatoes were apparently frying on a pan that overheated, melting the pan and then setting some cabinets on fire, according to Assistant Fire Chief Dave Hanneman.

When any one of those groups thinks that their turf has been encroached on, it causes problems.

A couple was united on Christmas day by a minister dressed in a Santa outfit. The nuptials were that of Dave Hauck Jr. and Cathy Spencer, who met during a company Christmas party, and got engaged while visiting Santa at the local mall. The couple was dressed in red, and the ceremonies were held at the second-floor art studio/chapel located at the home of the minister Gary Michael, who that day was dressed as Santa while uniting the couple.
