An Iowa-based insurance company is offering special benefits and unique coverages to people who go to church.
GuideOne insurance company has offered lower insurance rates to people who didn't drink alcohol since it was founded in the 1940s. Now churchgoers get special treatment too.
The FaithGuard policy waives the deductible for an insured member who gets on accident while going to or coming from church. If a person is injured in an accident on the way to or from church, GuideOne will double its medical payments.
GuideOne president Jim Wallace says his firm's FaithGuard polices now cover approximately 46,000 people who get additional benefits for going to church.
