Former Black Panthers are using an old school phrase in hopes to sell hot sauce. For many, "Burn Baby Burn," is a throwback to the racially charged 1965 Watts Riots in L.A., which left over 30 dead, wounded at least 1,000, and left many buildings in ashes.

Now, The Huey P. Newton foundation, named after the co-founder of the Black Panthers and composed of former members, is hoping the new sauce will aid their nonprofit organization.

David Hilliard, executive director and original Panther, says Burn Baby Burn: A Taste of the Sixties Revolutionary Hot Sauce "is another way to raise money and bring attention to the Huey Newton Foundation."

The foundation is hashing out plans to produce its own salsa and a clothing line, "Spirit of the Sixties."

Hilliard says the group hopes to begin selling the sauce later this year, just in time to honor the 40th anniversary of the inception of the Party.
