Hundreds of bike riders shed their clothing and rode through the capital of Spain Saturday protesting the overuse of automobiles, and celebrating the simplicity of bicycles and the human body. According to the World Naked Bike Ride Website, the annual ride is held in cities all over the world "to celebrate cycling and the human body. The ride demonstrates the vulnerability of cyclists on the road and is a protest against oil dependency. "

The French fashion industry led fashion houses, advertising firms and media outlets signed on Wednesday a charter to fight anorexia among models in magazine advertisements and catwalks. The anti-anorexia drive in the world's fashion capital was led by Health Minister Roselyne Bachelot along with groups in other countries worldwide. This will put an end to the display of ultra-skinny bodies of fashion models.

Saudi Arabia has arrested over 50 men for "flirting" with girls at a Mecca mall. Prosecutors are currently investigating charges that include wearing indecent clothing and playing loud music in order to attract female attention.

Authorities at Yakima airport in Washington evacuated the terminal and temporarily closed the airport Sunday when they found two training grenades inside a passenger's travel bag. However, mo one was hurt from the incident. About 35 people inside the terminal were evacuated before bomb experts from the U. S. Army called in by police arrived to defuse the bomb, which contained no explosives.

A yearlong study by Spain's Health Ministry reveals that the standard for clothing sizes for women may need to be adjusted to more accurately reflect the body type of a normal person, and not a fashion model. By measuring over 10,000 female volunteers aged between 12 and 70 years old using laser scans, the study cited that Spanish women fall into three main body types namely hourglass-shaped, pear-shaped, and cylinder.
