A registered sex offender from Denver is arrested after chasing two women down a street after hiding in a bush and shouting, "I'm naked" at them. James D. Christner, 34, was arrested for indecent exposure and criminal trespass after chasing the women and masturbating at the same time.

A postal worker is struck by lightning Monday while delivering mail close to a tree. At the time, skies are clear, without a drop of rain. Neighbors and witnesses say they heard lightning strike a tree near a mailbox as the postal worker opened it.

Thieves stealing mud that contains traces of gold, silver and platinum are overrunning Serbia's once mighty Bor mining and smelting complex, a Belgrade newspaper reports. Bor police have filed charges against persons unknown for the theft of about 700 kilograms (1550 pounds) of valuable anode mud from the bankrupt, state-owned company in southern Serbia, Danas says in its weekend edition.

The Washington Post reports a former Army National Guard reservist is sentenced to eight years in prison after he admits to stealing nearly 1,000 suitcases from Washington-area airports. The report indicates Derrick Kysar was assigned to guard Reagan National Airport following the Sept. 11 terrorist attack. During that time, he stole $2 million worth of medicine, clothing and other personal items.
