San Francisco's Head Hell's Angel's Shot, Killed In Fight

A man killed in San Francisco's Outer Mission neighborhood earlier this week has been identified by the medical examiner as the president of the San Francisco branch of the Hells Angels motorcycle club, authorities said. San Fransisco Police Department investigators say that Mark "Papa" Guardado, 46, was the person found shot at about 10:30 p. m. Tuesday outside a bar in the city's Mission District about a mile from the group's club house in the Dogpatch neighborhood. Guardado died a short time later at a local hospital.

A dress code banning urban wear at the Brunswick House, a popular nightspot for University of Toronto students, is generating controversy. The decades-old establishment has signs which explicitly prohibit baggy pants, do-rags, bandanas, track-suits, jerseys, tank tops and reverse baseball caps. Most of these items are apparel associated with the black community, raising the specter that the ban may spark controversy.

Group Attempts Citizen's Arrest Of Karl Rove

Four people were arrested Friday for attempting to make a citizen's arrest on Karl Rove. The group of three Catholic workers and a retired Methodist minister and Peace and Justice Advocate were cited for trespassing and released after trying to enter the Wakonda Country Club in Des Moines where Rove was scheduled to speak at a Republican Fundraiser.

Kickball Grows In Seattle As New Teams Play This Summer

This summer, adult amateur kickball leagues are being founded around Seattle at a surprising rate. Thanks to the efforts of the Underdog Sports League, kickball teams have grown from 70 teams in 2005 to 200 this year. Let's face it: the Supersonics are gone, the Mariners are horrible and the Seahawks won't be starting until the kids are back in school. At this point. . . Seattle sports fans just want to kick something.
