Around fifty Christmas shoppers dreaming of spending a shopping spree Lille, France ended up some 100 miles off from their destination after blunder in satellite navigation send their bus to another Lille in Belgium instead. "It was ridiculous," one passenger described the error. "The coach driver obviously had two Lilles to choose from on his sat-nav and he picked the wrong one.

American novelist Norman Mailer, who at 84 died due to renal failure just last month, became the recipient of the annual Bad Sex in Fiction Award, which identifies authors responsible for tasteless depictions of sexual acts in novels. The late author was given the award for his work on his literary description of the incestuous physical encounter between Adolf Hitler's parents.

Culture Club frontman Boy George is free on bail and will next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Feb. 25 to face allegations that he imprisoned a male escort by chaining him to a wall. The singer-turned DJ was sent to trial at the Thames Magistrates' Court over allegations that he falsely imprisoned and assaulted the 28-year-old in east London on April 28.
