A 1967 Volkswagen Beetle formally owned by Germany coach Juergen Klinsmann is being auctioned on Ebay for $383,000 or 300,000 euros from $105,000. The 12,000 euro blue book value of the car apparently makes no difference to fans of the coach who took Germany to the semi-finals. Klinsmann drove the car in 1994 and 1995.

The 2006 update of the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary adds mouse potatoes, googling and himbo, among 100 new words. The mouse potato is defined as someone who spends as much time on the computer as a coach potato does on the sofa.

Ecuador is pulling out all the strings ahead of their World Cup clash against England - this time by reportedly having a witch doctor cast a spell on the team. According to Ananova. com, the South Americans have hired Tzamarenda Naychapi, an Ecuadorian Indian who is known for using magic to control events.

Perhaps tired of having his players come to practice late each time or just wanting to mentally prepare the players ahead of the World Cup, Germany's head soccer coach, Juergen Klinsmann has decided to have them repair watches. Ananova. com reports Klinsmann has signed up the players for a watch repairing class at their world cup training camp in Switzerland.
