fter hearing screams coming from central Florida's Lake Parker, authorities arrived on the site to witness a scene straight out of a horror movie: a man caught in the jaws of an alligator. Four Florida sheriff's deputies managed to wade through the dark, muddy water and pry 45-year-old Adrian Apgar from the alligator's grasp. The man, who was naked when police arrived on the scene, suffered a broken right arm and major injuries to his left leg, but is lucky to be alive.

A pastor who brandished a gun during a sermon was arrested by authorities during church services Sunday because they had discovered he was a convicted felon. Jerry Wayne "Dusty" Whitaker of Victory Baptist Church was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, but he was released Monday after posting a $20,000 bond. Whitaker, 58, had been convicted of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm during drug trafficking in 1990. Members of the church said he had not told them about his criminal past.

fter noticing plastic tubes bobbing above the ocean's surface, U. S. Coast Guards seized a makeshift submarine transporting 3. 5 tons of cocaine across the Pacific Ocean. After spotting the suspicious water craft, officials took the submarine to a Costa Rican Coast Guard station to determine its origins. A couple that began fighting in their motel continued their argument over to the adjacent Waffle House diner in the nude. The unidentified woman, told officers she shared the room with a Larry Boyd who had taken a hit of cocaine and began trashing the room and choking her.

It seems like Princess Michael of Kent thinks her children are more cultured and knowledgeable than others. The British princess recently boasted that her children are better educated than the rest of the royal family. In an interview with the princess, the first cousin of Queen Elizabeth, said her children, Lord Frederick Windsor and Lady Gabriella Windsor, were "more educated than their cousins," including Princes William and Harry.
