Dining contractor, Aramark, removes coffee cups with a gay author's quote from a Starbucks at Baylor University, saying it is inappropriate for the Baptist school. Baylor spokesman Larry Brumley says, "I think they were trying to be sensitive. Obviously, Baylor is a Baptist-affiliated institution, and Baptists as a denomination have been pretty outspoken on the record about the denomination's views about the homosexual lifestyle. "

An Akron, Ohio postal worker is in trouble with the law after being busted on videotape urinating into the office coffee pot. Thomas Shaheen, 49, of Springfield, OH was charged with two misdemeanor counts of adulteration of food and placing harmful objects in food.

A shopkeeper defends herself from a would-be robber with a cup of coffee and a pair of scissors. The thief entered the convenience store wearing a motorcycle helmet to conceal his face. He pulled out a pistol and demanded the shopkeeper to empty the register. That's when she scalded the man with coffee and grabbed the scissors, prompting the robber to flee.
