A 56-year-old single mom from Long Island hit the jackpot at a time when she was about to lose her home, New York lottery officials said Friday. Rosa Torres, a cashier who juggles two jobs, won $2,000 weekly for life after buying four lottery tickets with the $20 she luckily picked from the ground on the way to a 7-Eleven convenience store in New Hyde Park.

A life-size nude self-portrait woven on a monk's cloth, vanished Monday night from Linfield College where it was being exhibited. Tamera Bremer was visibly upset when her life-size nude self-portrait titled "the sexy sex: all-nude review rug one," was stolen from the exhibit.

A two-headed calf born at a California farm was euthanized Wednesday after one its lungs collapsed. The animal, named Blinky, was born at Tulare's Hamstra Dairy on Tuesday morning with two heads, four eyes, two noses and two mouths.

A Malaysian college student is facing charges for allegedly violating the country's Sedition Act for displaying the country's flag and rapping the Malaysian national anthem on a YouTube video Wednesday. The six-minute YouTube video was created by Namewee, a 24-year-old Malaysian student at Taiwan's Ming Chuan University. The video is said to have been watched by almost half a million people, not only in Malaysia but all over the world.
