Condom manufacturer Durex is offering job openings for possible test pilots of its products to New Zealanders. The Kiwis were selected because they are considered one of the most sexually active and adventurous in the world. "Kiwis have proven they're a sexually energetic bunch, and therefore it makes sense that a select few will have the chance to try our latest condom innovation, all in the name of research," said Durex New Zealand manager Victoria Potter.

A study of more than 1,000 men in India has revealed that standard condoms are 'too large' for most of Indian men. Raising concern over the issue, a specialist in reproductive health said that about one in every five times a condom is used in India it either falls off or tears, an extremely high failure rate.

A Chinese transsexual has designed a dress made out of condom in an effort to promote safe sex. Twenty-five-year-old Liu Xuanyi from Nanning City, China used at least 300 condoms to make the racy outfit.

People passing by downtown Baguio city were shocked upon seeing artists, nursing students and gender rights activists parading a 30-foot condom on their shoulders. The colorful condom was the city's way of celebrating World AIDS Day, said Eden Divinagracia, executive director of the Philippine Non-Government Organization Council on Population Health and Welfare (PNGOC).

A condom manufacturer in China has been ordered to stop the sales of condoms that bore the image of Lei Feng, a communist hero model worker from the 1960s. The condom box displays the photo of Feng holding a gun and the manufacturer Zhang Zhiwen advertised them for sale on his website.
