The Brazilian government has inaugurated on Monday a condom factory that is aimed at providing livelihood to hundreds of Brazilian rubber tappers and at the same time help preserve the Amazon rain forest. In a statement, Brazil's Health Ministry said the factory in Xapuri, in the northwestern part of the capital Sao Paulo, has the capacity to produce 100 million condoms a year.

Denver is the most "lustful" city in America judging by the number of contraceptives sold in the city compared with its population size. According to a ranking made by Forbes Magazine and research firm ACNielsen, Denver is followed by San Antonio, Texas and Portland, Oregon, both tied for second place. The other states in the list are Seattle; Salt Lake City; Washington, D. C. ; Columbus, Ohio; Cincinnati; Baltimore; and Buffalo.

Health officials in mainland China express alarm over reports that a company in Southern China was recycling condoms as hair bands, which they say could pass over the sexually transmitted diseases to whoever will use the recycled condoms, report said Tuesday. Latest report shows that in Dongguan and Guangzhou cities in Guangdong southern province, Chinese-made recycled products such as headbands and rubber bands made of used condoms were seen being openly sold in local markets and beauty shops.

Nepalese women have been telling their husbands working overseas to abstain from sex with other women so they will not contract sexually transmitted diseases. However, in case their husbands cannot control their sexual urges, women in Pang village in the Midwestern mountains of Nepal, have been sending their partners with condoms via mail. Their motto was, if you can't control it, at least be safe.

"What better way to make sure that our condoms are meeting the needs of Canadians than to ask Canadians first-hand? We know Canucks are up for it!"
