A former waitress at a Brockton strip club was sentenced Wednesday to five years of supervised release after she admitted to mailing threatening letters and flammable material stuffed in condoms to seven different locations. Kimberly Lynn Dasilva, of Hull, told agents that she sent the packages because she was tired of being mistreated by men. Dasilva, 49, pleaded guilty in May.

A condom manufacturer in China has been ordered to stop the sales of condoms that bore the image of Lei Feng, a communist hero model worker from the 1960s. The condom box displays the photo of Feng holding a gun and the manufacturer Zhang Zhiwen advertised them for sale on his website.

A businessman who sold condoms in a shop in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang was shut down by government officials for selling the latex products without instructions and with images deemed offensive, including the image of former Communist leader Chairman Mao Zedong, a state newspaper said Tuesday. Having received numerous complaints about shop owner Zhang Zhiwen's condoms, which bear the likeness of several People's heroes, the industry and commerce administration raided the business and ordered the man to close down.

Russian doctor Petr Pomozov has joined the booming custom-made condoms industry by coming up with his own line. The urologist from the Russian capital of Moscow said he started making custom-fit condoms after a number of his patients complained of problems finding the perfect fit for them. He said business was booming when he started selling his condoms privately to individuals. His condoms offer special motifs and pictures on it.

Indian censoring authorities want to ban daytime screening of a advertisement promoting 'XXX' strawberry, chocolate and banana flavored condoms. They perceive the catch line "what is your flavor of the night" as offensive. The Chairperson of the censor board of India, Sharmila Tagore expressed his thinking on the ads in strong words to the Times of India newspaper.
